We were both very excited abt this trip....
Day 1
While on the plane, there is this grp of women who seat behind us talking and laughing loudly as in the whole plane can hear their conversation. and they work in Cartier .... We were like does Cartier hire those aunties.... hahaha...
We reach Thai airport is about 2pm. we took the 12.40 pm flight frm sg.
By the time we reach our hotel is like 3-4pm. no kidding it took us almost an hr to reach.
The hotel lobby is simple and nice. the staff is also very polite.
We went to platinum mall jus a distance opposite our hotel abt 5-10 mins walk.
jus half a day.
I brought:
2 belts - 300 baht
1 brown handbag -350 baht
4 sling bag - 1090 baht
1 pouch & coin purse - 170 baht
cab - 220 baht
tibits - 506 baht
food - 270 baht
Then we walk to Siam paragon. From the map it seems near but is bloody hell far..... But still manage to reach Siam paragon. we had our dinner at a Japanese restaurant while walking there. The food is so-so nia. But is cheap.
We only window shop at Siam paragon and went to the supermarket. is super big. There is also salad bar. I brought mango with glutinous rice and some snacks and drinks. The mango with glutinous rice is damn nice and it cost 100baht (abt S$4.50). Even nicer than Thai express when it leave it overnight. The taxi stand has good service. They will ask where u going and help u tell the taxi driver. LOL....
I will NOT walk to Siam paragon again from the hotel...... is damn tiring.....
Day 2
We went to platinum mall again.... as day 1 we only manage to cover 2 floors...
I brought:
pillows & bolsters case - 550 baht
a top for Emily - 150 baht
2 man shirt - 850 baht
2 shorts - 500 baht
9 t-shirts - 1386 baht (had a long time bargaining )
A&W - 95baht (lunch)
Then we went to Suan Lum Night Bazaar
Is very crowded tat night - a lot of Taiwan students.
Highlight of tat night: I want to but a top but fail to bargain for the price tat I desire. So i walk away. And jus abt to leave tat place i still wanted to buy tat top. So we try to look for tat shop again but we were like keep walking in circle and we din manage to find tat shop again. I think for abt an hr we try looking for tat shop. But failed. I am so sad that I can’t find tat top. There is no another shop tat sell the top.
We went to take a cab. The taxi driver jus din turn on meter den later say 150baht but when we came frm the hotel is only abt 80baht. of cos he stop and ask us to get down. And dunno what came over me i jus blindly open the door. And there were a car coming on the next lane. And he stops & horn at me jus when I open the door. I was so shock; feel like he horn my soul out of me. i was stunned for a moment. Then when i get down the cab everyone standing on the road was look at me. i was like so paiseh. We flag the next cab, he was asking for 200baht. is bloody hell 200baht. Of cos we jus close the door. The next taxi asking for 100baht and we jus board it. We both were so tired.
i was thinking if just now the car din manage to stop in time, i wont be here walking this post. I was really lucky..... Thank god.

6 bookmarks - 60 baht
2 slipper - 60 + 255 baht = 315 baht
5 t-shirts - 560 baht (4 of them are couple t-shirts those in the tub kind.)
dinner at safari steak hse - 419 baht (there is 10 % service charge & 7 % vat-value added tax)
Day 3
CHATUCHAK here we come ~~~
We wanted to take the bts but end up taking a cab instead... haha ... it is damn damn big... there is so many different sections. the weather is bloody hell hot. we only manage to shop abt half of the whole market. their school uniform is also sold there. ahaha
i brought:
3 polo t-shirts - 460 baht
blue 2 piece top - 210 baht
2 sunglass - 200 baht (one @ 50 baht and another @ 150 baht)
bracelet - 50 baht
2 boxer - 150 baht
a grey top -300 baht
10 pair of earring - 80 + 623 baht = 703 baht
cab - 77 baht
drink - 20 baht (logan drink. nice & refreshing)
We were all drained out while shopping there.... but it really sells all kind of stuff... from clothes to furniture to pets and many more......
Went back to the hotel of cos by cab, this cab uncle was so good he jus go by mtr without saying anything... lol....
We rest, bath and watch super nanny before going to Suan Lum Night Bazaar again ~
Reason is simply, I still want to get the top tat I miss the night before. If i din buy I go back to sg with regrets.... haha.... I tell crystal if I can’t find tat shop again I dun wan to go back to sg..... ahaha
To my Surprise, it not crowded. So advice to go on Saturday night.....

2 sunglass - 420 (i wanted to buy them tat night b4 but tat stupid man wants to sell it @ 400 baht for one. but this time round is a different person. and tt pattern is only found there. even chatuckah also dun have. )

dinner - 418 baht (@ the seafood restaurant we had baked prawns, broccoli with real crab meat, and ..... cant rember)
haha.... crystal was saying, before i manage to buy the top, whenever she calls me to stop I just simply couldn't hear her calling me. haha.... and she was complaining I was walking very fast... but things jus changed when I brought the top. ahaha. I could hear her calling me and was happy. ahaha ...
Day 4
Went to MBK, Central world & Sunday market jus in front of the hotel.
we went to MBK first den took the bts to central world and tuk-tuk back to our hotel.
i brought:
a cloth bag - 175 baht
triumph bra - 350 baht
white top - 120 baht (the cheapest top i brought)
shampoo - 100 baht
tibits - 900 baht
drinks - 38 baht
t-shirt - 60 baht
KFC - 194 baht
Dinner - 160 baht (room service, we ordered - green curry chicken with rice, tom yum goong wit rice, french fries and a sandwich. ) is very nice very very nice.
When trying to get a cab from central back to the hotel, the taxi stand is like a ghost town. There is no cab in sight...... only one tuk- tuk. And the tuk-tuk was asking for 80 or 100 baht when is like very near our hotel. of cos we reject and insist on wanting a taxi. The security asks us to wait. We waited for like 20 mins there isn’t any taxi insight at all. So we jus gave up and walk out to the main road. There was traffic jam and all the taxi was hired. We walk up to another junction again and trying to get a taxi but there isn’t any. So another tuk-tuk stops in front of us. And we ask for the price to go at back to our hotel @ 50baht. ahaha... and the tuk-tuk man agree.... he was driving so dangerously lor.... but anyway we reach the hotel safely. hohoho. Central world is very big and new. But we brought nth there. Haha the Sunday market was still alright. But it is very dusty.... special thing is tat, the shops are closed and they jus have a store outside the closed shop. Haha....
Day 5 (last day- we are going back to sg on an evening flight. )
And we went to platinum mall again to do some last minute shopping....
i brought:
2 shoulder carry bag - 750 baht
another bag - 370 baht
2 silk bag - 380 baht
covered shoe - 259 baht
crepes - 25 baht
cab to the airport - 200 baht
we still shop like hell even thou our luggage is alrdy full.... haha ...
something happen in the airport, we reach the airport early. So we are trying to pack all the stuff that we jus brought. So there is this man seated next to me. Jus one seat away frm me. So in between us was a big black bag. so i was busy packing and din notice when he walk away. So after packing my stuff den i notice tat he jus leave the bag there. We were wondering how he jus could forget abt tat bag is very big and light. We alert some of the airport information counter staff. He follows crystal to where we are seated and he jus say he will infrm the security guard and left. Abt 30 mins later he came back wit a guard and he jus took the bag and go... is like wth... 30 mins..... Imagine is a bomb we might be alrdy dead by then ... really not efficient....
den while checking in there is this uncle q-ing behind us. he was saying tat we did not q in a straight line with the trolley. Is like wtf do we jus have to q in a straight line. I think he is an Indonesian Chinese with a group of aunties and uncles. he keep nagging and nagging...... saying something like must follow the person in q not follow the trolley.... crystal got so irritated so am i . i jus simply ignore him....... den he was sort of saying tat the person behind him is trying to cut the q. and I heard the person saying" we are nice person, we can let u go first" haha....
Then when we were on the plane, we were on the outer seat and there is an aunty @ the window seat and when the plane landed she jus couldn't wait and trying to get out which of cos she couldn’t. so finally when crystal got out den i was trying to get hold of everything and walk out she jus simply take one of my plastic bag and put them in the seat in front of us. i was like. wtf she trying to do. Anyway i jus nv say anything and walk out. Dun have the energy to say that kind of ppl. If u cant wait den req for the outer seat lor..... Stupid.
oh ya.... and we went to eat the Japanese restaurant in the airport is ex... It cost abt 570 baht.
Review
first time taking jetstar - not very good experience.
1. The boarding and alight belt is at the far end of the airport
2. The plane is very small and cramped. Not much leg space at all.
Hotel: baiyoke boutique hotel 3 ***
Location wise ok- is jus behind baiyoke sky.
Room - cosy
Breakfast - this is tat biggest problem is every day the SAME and not very nice. Only like the chicken porridge and omelet.
Staffs - very helpful and friendly.
the soft drinks is more gassy than sg....
must really bargain if not u will sure lose out just like me.... c
rystal bargain skill is better than mine....
some of the taxi / tuk-tuk drivers have serious attitude problem but some friendly..... I find tat as long as u ask the staff from the hotel to get a cab for u it will be on meter but only to the airport is not & they will help u bargain....
I LOVE BANGKOK.....
TOTAL DAMAGE: $730(spent) + $110(hotel) + $ 214(flight) = $ 1054
